Dana Wilcox, LMFT-A, ERYT500

Hello!

I am so glad you are here. I received my Masters in Marriage & Family Therapy from Southern Connecticut State University and have been practicing therapy since 2022. At Southern, I learned the value of systemic thinking and the ways our relationships continuously shape who we are. I also learned the importance of finding yourself individually, so that you can strengthen your relationships or end them from a more grounded, centered place. My approach to therapy is casual yet professional, and I pull from evidence based practices life IFS, CBT, EFT, and Family Systems Theory to inform my framework. Ultimately, I believe our work in therapy should be catered to your needs and co-created so that you can feel empowered on your healing journey.

I have been teaching yoga since 2019 and I currently facilitate the 200hr Yoga Teacher Training at The Yoga Shop which is one of the greatest privileges of my life. I have seen the way that yoga has a ripple effect and positively change peoples lives. Outside of therapy I love to listen to Taylor Swift, practice yoga, check out new restaurants, travel when I can, or watch my favorite, go-to comfort show, The Office.

I have wanted to be a therapist for as long as I can remember, and I would not be where I am today with out the guidance and support of my supervisors and mentors, both in therapy & yoga: Dr. Julie Liefeld, LMFT, Dr. Rebecca Harvey, LMFT, Paul Levatino, LMFT, Annie Q. Simard, ERYT500 and Kim Charbonneau, ERYT500.
